Meredith Salenger
Salenger has been raised and lived in Malibu. She loved performing for relatives and friends as an infant. As young as eight she was taken by her mother to her first acting class. Her first performance was in a minor role as the 'orphan with a singing and dancing dance in the film Annie directed by John Huston. Salenger performed a number of television commercials. Salenger's debut starring role came part of the Disney production The Journey of Natty Gann with John Cusack and Ray Wise which was the first US film to be awarded the coveted gold prize in the Moscow Film Festival. It also won her "Best actor in a drama" as part of the Youth in Film Awards for her performance as the sexy Natty Gann. When she was 18 she also acted in four movies, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Then she made the move to Harvard in order to continue her education.
